Lifetime Guarantee Terms & Conditions

Agapé Jewellers offers a free Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty from the date of purchase against any manufacturing defects on all Gold and Platinum jewellery.

What is Covered By Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty:
Our warranty covers structural issues with the jewellery that arise from manufacturing defects. Most defects are apparent within the first few months of wear. Any item found defective as a result of manufacturing will be repaired or replaced by Agapé Jewellers at no charge.

Examples of manufacturing defects include:

  • Porosity: Surface pores and blemishes in the metal.
  • Uneven Settings: Found at time of pick-up or during servicing with us.
  • Stone Imperfections: Chips, scratches, or nicks in stones given at time of pick-up or during servicing with us.
  • Rhodium Plating Issues: Splashes or stains on the metal found at the time of pick-up or during servicing with us.


Wear and Tear (not covered by Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty)

All fine jewellery, especially rings, are subject to normal wear and everyday activities. Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty does not cover damage to jewellery, loss of stones due to accidents, mishandling, abusive use, theft, or damage caused by general wear and tear.

Examples of issues not covered include:

  • Dents, Abrasions, and Scratches: Metals are malleable and will exhibit signs of wear over time. We recommend booking a yearly jewellery assessment to ensure stone settings are secure. A professional clean and polish will have your ring looking brand new again.
  • Gemstone Damage: Chips, scratches, nicks, and breakages on gemstones due to wear and tear or accidents. While diamonds and moissanite are very hard, they are not indestructible and can chip or crack if hit at certain angles.
  • Chemical Damage: Pits and holes in your setting caused by exposure to corrosive chemicals like chlorine bleach and heavy cleaning products.
  • Discolouration: Caused by chemicals, make-up, exposure to chlorine in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
  • Metal Wear: Precious metals, especially claws and bands, can wear down over time and may need restoration.
  • Claw Damage: Claws can get caught, bent, or worn down by everyday wear, potentially allowing stones to fall out.
  • Stone Loss: Caused by damage from everyday wear or other damage.

Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty is only valid with proof of purchase and if the jewellery has not been altered in any way.

Complimentary Ring Resize

At Agapé Jewellers, all custom-made rings come with one free resize within the first six months of purchase.

Free Resizing Terms and Conditions:

  • If the ring needs resizing by more than three sizes (+/-), it may incur an extra cost or the setting may need to be replaced altogether.
  • Resizing your ring at an unauthorised jeweller will void your lifetime warranty.
  • Some rings cannot be resized due to their design and fabrication. This will be clearly specified in the product description or advised by our team during the custom design process.

Options for Resizing:

  1. Showroom Appointment (Recommended): Make an appointment at one of our showrooms to have your ring size accurately measured. Note that our jewellers may take 10 to 14 business days to resize your ring. You can book an appointment here.
  2. Mail-In Service: Contact our team to arrange for your ring to be posted back to us. Please be accurate with the new ring size you request. Only one complimentary resizing is granted per purchase. Please contact us here.

    Rings That Cannot Be Resized:

    • Full pavé bands
    • Open bands
    • Contemporary metals such as tungsten and titanium

    Resizing Rings with Engraving:

    • In most cases, we place your engraving on the side of the ring to avoid removal during resizing. There may be rare cases where your engraving will need to be redone at your cost.
